‘Stay’ is a raw but well crafted, modern disco record with analog sounds and a sherbet sweet vocal. It’s the type of record that could chalk up the same success as ‘One Day Reckoning’ with the right remix as it oozes suntan oil and holiday romance nostalgia from every groove. On the other hand, listening to the acid houser ‘27 Summers’ feels like rolling around on a bed of cornflakes and iron filings before slathering on some neon liquid latex so that you can continue dancing in the dark with your rubber lover. It’s a rough gem in need of a little polishing.
