Maybe it’s the heat? Maybe I’m on heat? Whatever the reason, my ears have been seduced by a sexy slab of nu-house, baby-making music. Braxton has the keys for Ciara’s ‘Ride’ and reworks it into a smooth rolling, tease and sleaze heavy breather, sorry, big bass-heavy growler. The snipped intro vocals are semi-orgasmic, then the bass blows over the vocals like a ghost ship over the horizon, then the beat drops and it’s a dance off that will have you dropping to levels you’d forgotten you knew how to sink to. Huge thanks to Last FM’s Miguel Pellitero for turning me on to this jam – we will dance like no-one’s watching for sure. It’s simple, beautifully executed, quite brilliant, it’s a dirty dance off special AND it’s now my new favourite ‘get out of jail free’ card. Do not sleep. Just enjoy the ride.
