Fresh from having the testicles to take on a Robert Hood remix, France’s Shonky follows last year’s Time Zero album with a floor-friendly hypno-shimmer of a tune, deep but propulsive with ethereal vocal touches and toughening riffs to do the damage. The flip’s ‘Carnage’ is actually sublimely dreamy in a classic house way while ‘Arena’ hoists up the organ for a dubbed-out romp, completing a lovely, assured set.
