Belatedly reviewed but easily one of the biggest records with me for the past three months having wowed crowds at all the key house nights. This terrifically meaty Marlon D and George Mena production updates the New Yorker’s 1996 release adding some much needed oomph to let the mighty lunged singer exercise his considerable vocal chords over a faultless, production tailor-made for those that like a lil’ soul in their garage. While for those in search of more retro flavours the package also includes the original mixes from house don John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez and ’90s remixer-to-the-stars Hex Hector. Incidentally D’Bonneau’s ‘Remixed & Reimagined’ album is due shortly featuring remixes by Scott Wozniak, Jon Cutler, DJ Meme and a handful of others key players.
