Brooklyn’s Warmth label returns with their first release since 2003, perhaps prodded by the high quality of this pants-frying underground house outing from Montreal’s Dave Allison, honcho of Kinjo Music. ‘Y’All See’ whips up an old school bass riff with eerie paddage, adding to the druggy vibe with distant vocals and atmospherics. Remixes come from Tom Lown [new bass action and opiated frolics] and Philadelphia’s Sean Thomas adding metallic stabs for a harder mood. Extra track, ‘That Sensation’, is almost worth the price of admission with its lush, shimmering deepness. Proper basement tackle.
