Parisians Francois Stratigeas and Nicolas Stofenmacher release the ‘Moonlighting EP’ a four track debut for the revered Classic imprint. It’s a strapped in, strapped down electro synth rocket launch with a cosmic melodic break that plays out and slows down until the spool runs out and you’re left floating and weightless. ‘I Need Space’ is a fat bottomed swirl with twitchy percussion, paranoid whispery male vocals, jittery, juddering keyboard stabs and a drop in the sub bass ocean that gives you all the space you need.Dan beaumont’s Pumpathon is a stripped down rewiring with a brutal skinhead kick. James Curd goes for the punchfunk angle with a high speed Cat Stevens ‘Was Dog A Doughnut’ / Talkin Heads feel. Nice work.
