The Brazilian dance music scene has really flourished in recent years. A global spotlight has been shined on the place and more and more producers are emerging from there. One of them is HNQO, who has already had global success with his tracks on Hot Creations. Now he is back with a new sound on a new EP on the BEEF Records label. It features three of his originals as well as a remix by none other than M.in & Markus Ferdinand.
When We Are finds HNQO on a more techno focused tip than his creamy previous house outings. Full of late night melody and pained bass lines, it is a great effort that is really musical. Si’l Vous Plait then gets more techy and energetic with slick wavy synths and a nicely serene sense of mood. Far Beyond is then the most gritty and dirty of the lot, with loose lines and smeared bass all getting layered up in sumptuous fashion. Detailed but effortless, free flowing and engaging, it is a killer cut that really does suck you in. Lastly, M.in & Markus Ferdinand then go deep and seductive with their icy, striped back and slow burning groover. Overall this is a meaty EP from the mighty BEEF.
