When three of your favourite tech heads join forces you know it means carnage and the Moda Black’s ‘Caution Your Blast’ EP is just that. Jaymo, Andy George and one of my favourite new producers Sidney Charles have created an underground double header for dark sweatboxes and heaving big rooms. ‘Caution Your Blast’ is a moody, monotone vibe track with metallic hits that sharpen the edges whilst the Jaydee reminiscent organ pads smooth its curves. ‘Hip Shots’ has a banging, warped groove that bounces erratically like a psychotic Jack-In-Box then pitches and rolls with a relentless vocal snippet until you’re hyperventilating and all the happier for it.
