Two fresh new productions from Chicago’s very own Jerome Derradji go to make up this latest release from Still Music and if I can point you in the direction of the excellent, ‘Acid Nothing’ you could be very happy. Combining touches of the Windy City alongside infectious Detroit tones this plays on being intense and emotional in a big way – two of music’s most vital elements. Sounding like Acid but feeling deep a telling spoken vocal adds extra bite to the affair (although an uninterrupted instrumental would have been unbeatable). ‘Wurk It’ then provides a blistering, unrelenting slice of techno should that be your thing.
