Taken as the second single from the vintage soul album ‘Food’ (release date set for April 2014), ‘Rumble’ is a laid back yet epic funk rock excursion that grows in stature via the nagging piano brass and sweetly sung chorus hook. Produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, Kelis steps back into the national consciousness with this honest, uncluttered, catchy, self-assured little tune that has more than a little Lenny Kraviz-esque attitude and swagger. Add some slick and polished, uptempo house remixes from Breach (love that snipped, clipped and pimped up chorus revision), a raft of live, intimate shows and festival appearances and you know that ‘Rumble’ will rock you.
