Ms Lovelace’s heart-felt pleads have become a trademark of her style Ð more often singing of broken and unrequited love then of joy and happiness from being with the ‘one’. ‘Faraway’ is no exception; another deep, seductive and hypnotic number sung with real passion. Hideo Kobayashi’s version is a beautiful slice of tech-etched electronica with synths underpinning the vocal drops, while Jon Cutler’s Distant Music Mix although nicely textured and atmospheric to ensure key specialist support, bubbles and murmurs away without ever reaching boiling point.
