The first new outing for the Svogue Muziq label this year is a fine one. Matteo Floris is the artist behind it and the Barcelona based Italian, who is also the A&R and co-owner of the label, sure does impress with his breath of styles. He enlists Kid Enigma to help on one of the cuts and shows some fine sampling skills along the way.
Aus Check is a rambunctious house tune with kicking drums, rubbery textures and vocals culled from a massive pop hit. It hits hard itself and is colourful and freaky in all the right ways. Supervisors is next and features Kid Enigma. This one is another slick and kicking jam with barrelling beats, jazzy snares and cool vocals that ooze from the funky drum line. Last but not least, Soul Shaker is a playful, loopy number with round bass and fractured vocals bringing the heat. It is a third and final different offering that means this release is a must for DJs and dancers.
