The high flying Dutchman Rene Amesz makes his Suara debut with the ‘Running Out’ EP a fierce and firing double header. ‘Running Out Of Black’ is a straight heads down stomper that could easily sculpt another head into Mount Rushmore with its stone face hacking kick, angle grinding beats and sand blasting effects. Just to avoid dance floor complacency, a muted horn drops in the breakdown and it’s mayhem from thereon in. ‘Away’ is the sleeping giant to my ears, since it clips and snips Merry Clayton’s vocal from The Rolling Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’ and rolls them up in a big, phat, tearing tech house blunt.
