Miami and Ibiza wouldn’t be the same without a Phonetic release, and with head boss Rob Roar at the controls too you know it’s going to be a bit special. Using the vocal hookline from ‘The beat goes on’ from the 60’s gives this hooky cut maximum commercial potential, then add the secret ingredient of a live double bass to drive the track and you can see there on to a winner. It’s hypnotic and loopy and could be 50 mins long and you wouldn’t notice! It just grabs you and won’t let go. Air Bureau and Turbofunk go for a more solid mix but still keep the elements that work so well on the original track. Support for this has been massive and right across the boards musically from a whole host of big name dj’s, this is sure to be one of the main contenders for ‘that Miami tune’ award leading into the summer hit machine of Ibiza.
