What a year it’s been for New Yorker Santi White aka Santogold, she knocked everyone sideways when she burst onto the scene, releasing a flurry of individual pop gems alongside her creative & out there excellent debut album. ‘Say Aha’ is the latest cut to be lifted from ‘Santogold’ and it looks like being the biggest hit to date, as feel good bubble gum new wave gets infused with reggae horns and those all important defiant lyrics, leading to big sing a long choruses that set you up for the day. ‘Say Aha’ comes with 3 remixes, the first being from Tepr, who injects a large dose of dancehall and gives it rebounding bleeps with anthemic breakdowns. Meanwhile Paul ‘Phones’ Epworth takes a nu-disco route that goes mirror ball on drugs overdrive, and Tom Neville delivers well polished peak time main room house with Kraftwerk key flourishes and plenty of oomph. All in all a top package.
