Second City – The Story – Saints & Sonnets

Opening with the title tracks’ first-rate and deliciously sinister bassline coupled with hooky vocal edits is yet another notable release from Huxley and Jimmy Posters heavenly imprint. What’s so powerful about this production is that while you can hear all those 90’s references they have been replayed for today without seeming tired and over indulged, in fact this sounds purely contemporary and huge. ‘What Love’ continues crossing boundaries of Garage, as ‘Those Days’ fills in the gaps with expansive pads alongside tasteful atmospherics, and of course another killer bassline. ‘My House’ completes the picture with fittingly timed vocals on what is a further peak time arrangement.
