Now that almost everybody is worshiping at the alter of nostalgia with impunity, why not this House Music gem which was the starting point for many, myself included way back when. But what to do that timeless bassline, chiming keys alongside those addictive vocal edits on the tracks 30th anniversary? Perhaps wisely Ki Creighton side steps the issue with an irresistable break-beat fuelled reworking, while Doorly relies on a fresh killer bassline and percussion to inform his excellent remix. It’s only Olav Basoski who plays with the original by sampling and re-tweaking it via an invigorated tempo and attitude. The 1986 versions are obviously included too and to me they still scream PARTY three decades later.
