Milan’s Valerio Fais, aka Tempomatici, debuts on Nottingham’s Phobic with enough funk on board to shave the buttocks of the nearest chicken. ‘Short Dress’ uncorks some funky, trippy house, also remixed by Little Man Big [from Nottingham’s Littlemen] with funky drummer grunts, masturbatory organ and loping bass. The title track cooks up another organ-prodded groove, remixed by Tom Latham of Special Interest with cool Rhodes, sax and hiphop yelps. The set’s rounded off with the self-explanatory ‘Don’t Stop The Music’. Suitable titles all round.
