Add the words Jazz and House and you’ve got my hooked, in theory. But what Tim Deluxe does with the two base elements is conjure something fresh while revealing an emotionally charged music that defies the timeline of fashions. You’ll spot various influences contained within the breezy blasts of muted Trumpet but also within the tight, repeating Deep House rhythms which breathe life and context back into the genre. Two versions on offer with both feeling equally excellent with the additional musicianship of Jay Phelps, John Donaldson and Rob Youngs.
