Great production from White Kite who’s brooding bass is offset perfectly by the title’s detuned vocal lines sounding cheekily familiar, yet strangely reassuring. Deep in the best sense of the word this uncomplicated arrangement has piano hits, stabs and shuffling shakers all create the necessary state of tension musically. Remixes come from Martijn who beefs it up with more insistent drums and unsettling synths, and from Michael McLardy developing similar moods to the original with bubbling basslines coupled with imaginative notes. Next, ‘Get Back’ gets tougher as banging drums and atmospheric sounds complete another notable release from the label.
