Be As One is a no frills techno label that serves up high grade weaponry for the dance floor. Next to get snapped up by Shlomi Aber’s label is Lathe, a new Italian artist who has a passion for techno and who outlines that with great élan on the three cuts that make up his Athens By Taxi EP.
All three tracks are filled with atmosphere and feeling and mine very different moods. Taygeta for example is a real banger that will freak people out at 5am. Claps and bleeps and rock solid kicks make that so as they all race along deep dark space. Phase Mood is then a fulsome head fucker with more manic bells and squeaks and the title track then strips things back. It is a loft techno roller that will suck you deep down into a heady and hypnotic headspace and keep you there. These are fierce tracks that cannot be missed.
