Catchy pop idiosyncrasies from the one time Paper Recordings star. In it’s Homelife remixed form, “Ballad Of Henry” is a hum along tune with great drums and a bassline that sounds like it was recorded on a trampoline. For “Plug On”, none other than electro-pop legends ACR are persuaded to enter a studio and have some fun with it. Which is exactly what they do, producing a edge-of-the-seat, itchy funk influenced dancer with a darker underbelly. The haunting and really quite self-descriptive “Glockrock” sees the whole thing off with some panache. Totally unobvious, and totally brilliant.
