Made up of legendary guitarist Mark Wood (who’s worked with Ian Carr’s Nucleus and Hermeto Pascoal, to name a few) and his wife Ana Maria Velez, Bossa Futura provide a twist on the Brazillian beat formula with some lush vibes and Velez’ gorgeous relaxed singing, particularly on “Sol Y Luna”, which also has involvement from re-edit maestro Richard E. The other song, “Inside Your Head”, is a more free-flowing groove that’s happy not to go anywhere quickly. Authentic modern Brazilian beats, perfect for re-capturing those summer memories with a splash of lime.
