Chemical Brothers
Brotherhood
Freestyle Dust / Virgin

If you’re raising an eyebrow at the appearance of what, on the face of it, is another Chemical Brothers’ ‘Best Of’, then you’ll be glad to hear this one is still an essential piece of kit to own. Five years on from their last retrospective, this one offers a chance to get hold of the Electronic Battle Weapons 1-10, the building blocks for tracks such as ‘It Began In Afrika’, ‘Under The Influence’ and ‘Saturate’. The single CD collection, meanwhile, takes in some of the Brothers’ most up-for-it moments, starting with ‘Galvanize’ and taking in ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’, ‘Leave Home’, ‘Setting Sun’ and ‘Do It Again’. New tracks ‘Midnight Madness’, a piece of summer escapism, and ‘Keep My Composure’ don’t suffer in comparison either – this is a timeless document for an electronic act continuing to shine.
