‘It’s Getting Light Outside’ is the closing cut on Clearlake’s third album ‘Amber’, and what we’ve got here is a white label promo only remixed 12”. Popstarz resident Long Throw Specialist is the man at the controls, placing jerky 4/4 rhythms at the root of ‘It’s Getting Light Outside’, which complement the driving bass, jangly guitars and 80’s keyboards perfectly, but it’s Jason Pegg’s oh so honest and unforced vocals that are the icing on the cake, causing plenty of flailing limbs & smudged eyeliner action. Domino have got an anthem on their hands here, this more than deserves a full release, it’s got future classic written all over it.
