“True Skool” is the third track to be lifted from Coldcut’s critically acclaimed album “Sound Mirrors”, and it’s the most commercially accessible cut they’ve done in a long time, mixing Asian flavours with the vocal exploits of Roots Manuva. “True Skool” comes in a variety of mixes spread over two twelves, but the one that really takes the biscuit is from man of the moment Switch, with his trademark electronic bounce & reversed bits, he transforms “True Skool” into a slab of futuristic hip house peppered with percussive breakdowns, that’s guaranteed to send the dance floor into a heaving sweaty frenzy. Top stuff.
