ENGINEERS

ECHO

Manchester’s Engineers are set to release a summer anthem. In it’s original form, ‘Home’ is built on a Phil Spector styled production, reaching for the sky on sumptuous orchestration & shimmering fuzzy psychedelics, whilst Simon Phipps’ harmonised vocals lift you even higher on a rushing bed of warm air. On the flip Jagz Kooner has delivered a firing remix, adding a rhythm that’s along the lines of one of Primal Scream’s finest moments ‘Autobahn 66’, building up to the vocals, & layering the instrumentation until the whole thing goes wide screen, then the effects start flying & it’s total euphoria all the way. Now this record certainly makes you want to take drugs.
