2007 Was definitely a good year for Gossip, they managed to squeeze a Top 10 single and a gold album under their belts, and now Beth Ditto & Co are kicking off 2008 with a celebratory limited edition 12′. In it’s original form ‘Yr Mangled Heart’ is gritty and funky guitars on post punk club rhythms, complete with powerhouse vocals in typical Gossip style, which works an absolute treat. There’s no less than five remixes in this package, Linus Loves, Guns ‘N’ Bombs, Si McEvoy and Rory Phillips all have a go, however it’s Tiga that really ignites the dancefloor with his epic ‘Congabreak’ mix, that gradually builds in layers under the vocal, before veering off into electro heaven and then exploding with overloading fizzing synths. They’ll be pouting from the rafters and body slammin’ until the seams burst. Get naked.
