Let’s Wrestle are a London trio that have come up with the debut album of the year. “In The Court Of The Wrestling Let’s” is a blast of pop punk genius from start to finish. The lead track “My Arms Don’t Bend That Way, Damn It!”,  opens with jagged pogo powered riffs, before soaring strumming and melody take you up above the heartfelt deadpan vocal, and before you know it, you’re singing along with the chorus. “They said if you want to help, just kill yourself. But I won’t do that”. The following “I’m In Love With Destruction” is teenage angst at it’s finest, all selfish and fucked up. “My Schedule” is a spot on account of lonely day to day boredom, set on a glittering quiz show backdrop. “We are going down the Job Centre, and soon we’ll come out with a job, we got ourselves nice and clean, we feel so peaceful and serene, ba ba ba ba ba ba ba…” Is the opening upbeat sarcasm of “We Are The Men You’ll Grow To Love Soon”. I could go on and on. If Daniel Johnston, Graham Coxon and The Buzzcocks went back to their teenage years and formed a band, then they might sound a bit like Let’s Wrestle. “In The Court Of The Wrestling Let’s” is the best pop punk LP of 2010.
