A body-popper’s throwdown full of motherfunkin’ guitar swivels, bongos and flutes to turn legs crazy and familiar sampled instructions a successfully simple breakers song of praise. ‘Blue Cat Sessions’, on-the-go big band perkiness filing horns aplenty, xylophones and toe-taps, and ‘The Sinner’, a concentrating, Moby/RJD2-esque deviation, meet at either end of the jazz scale. Quality work, whichever way it’s spelt.
