Following the soulful ‘Live With Me’ which featured Terry Callier, Massive Attack once again show us their darker side. ‘False Flags’ is a cut on the ‘Collected’ bonus CD, that’s now been given a new twist courtesy of James Lavelle in his Unkle guise, sitting Robert Del Naja’s creepy vocals in a bed of post punk bass and swirling atmospherics, building to a haunting psychedelic hoe down. ‘False Flags’ comes backed with brand new ‘United Snakes’, which also sees 3D take centre stage, amongst pulsing synths driven by belted out angry rhythms.
