Prinzhorn Dance School are the latest outfit to come out of the DFA stable, their self titled album is due later this year, but for now they‚ve dangled us a carrot. ‘Crackerjack Docker’ is simple and sparse, but it‚s got a certain charm. Raw bass & guitar ride hard graft pounding drums, whilst Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn get wordy with random lyrics. ‘What did you call him. Sparring Monkey Hobnail boots on the escalator. Beeswax down the radiator. It’s a 5 o’clock shocker. Knock knock Crackerjack Docker’. Princehorn Dance School are close to the edge, and with James Murphy & Co in tow, the album looks very promising.
