It’s a modern-day classic, and regardless of his Hollywood exploits, Will
Smith (aka The Fresh Prince) was always able to turn out a fine commercial
hip-hop tune. 16 years after its original release, DJ Jazzy Jeff has remixed
the languid cut for a reissue although I doubt it’s to capitalise on the
“unique” British summer! Still a warm breezy affair reminiscing about
growing up in Philadelphia, and regardless of the actual weather, this is
still a radio smash, but I suspect the wet, chilled and windy UK climes may
well put a dampener on how well this actually fairs.
