It’s a real shame that psychedelic Artful Dodgers Simian have called it a day, but I’m pleased to see James Ford & Jas Shaw are carrying on their Simian Mobile Disco project. “Pulse” is kinda typical late 70’s punk funk with 80’s overtones. However on the flip you’ll find the slap in the face that is “Sick”, which is an angry rant about every day life, “I’m sick of the beer, I’m sick of the drugs, I’m sick of the whores, I’m sick of the thugs”, & the list goes on & on, over electro pogo mayhem. “I’m sick of the cunt who lives next door, I’m sick of the ceiling, I’m sick of the floor”.
