LOOT’S THE ROOT / THE UNDERTAKER SONG
LICORICE SOUL

Lifted from the rare UK soundtrack, “Loot”, which would cost you an arm and a leg to track down on original vinyl, or at least a close financial equivalent, those Licorice Soul boys have plucked the best two compositions and released them back to back for the first time ever.  “Loot’s The Root” reads like a who’s who of classic British musicians, but really, all you need to know is it’s a great funky vocal cut about the evils of money.  “The Undertaker Song” features the legend that is Alan Hawkshaw giving it some on the organ, and with those big drums to the fore, it’s the kind of cut that could tempt aging b-boys back to the linoleum.
