The Big Pink are shaping up to be the one’s to watch of 2009.  Their singles just keep getting better and better, and “Dominos” definitely does not let the side down. Coming in on steamrolling chunky breaks, ethereal harmonies and psychedelic electronics, “Dominoes” bursts into massive wide screen choruses with soaring vocals over banks of majestic and dramatic synths, whilst the contrasting verses are stripped back to the well charged, nothing stands in our way crunching beats alongside pulsing distant electronics and the singer going a bit Julian Cope, which works big time, resulting in a very dynamic and powerful pop song that sounds proper.  Keep your eye on this lot, their debut LP is due in September, can’t wait to hear that. You never know, it could be a case of get your festival lighters out in 2010.
