The Electric South are, by all accounts, a US based collective of musicians who managed to get the legendary 60’s Country singer Bob Lind to re-record a song of his for their current project. Ashley Beadle is behind the mixing desk, creating the kind of sunshine on a rainy day pop-dance thingy that gets under your skin and stubbornly refuses to budge, no matter what you try. A choir backs Lind’s refrain of “I love to sing / and sometimes I wonder / why not let go”, over a plink-plonking riff. A former “Blue Room Tune Of The Month”, you’ll find yourself smiling regardless. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
