The Freelance Hellraiser is responsible for starting the Bastard Pop / Mash Up revolution back in 2001, when he spliced together The Strokesâ ‘Hard To Explain’ with Christine Aguilera’s ‘Genie In A Bottle’, resulting in the phenomenal ‘A Stroke Of Genius’ & the rest is history. Well now itâs five years down the line & after countless projects & remixes, Mr Hellraiser has delivered his first single proper. ‘Want You To Know’ is a feel good anthem that’s got a certain Moby vibe about it, making perfect sense on a sunny Sunday. On the flip you’ll find Freeform Five’s Anu Pillai joining The Freelance Hellraiser, for a spot of trashy glam disco in the shape of ‘Pound For Pound’. All in all a top notch double header that could well be Top 40 bound.
