Norwegian DJ-producer Alex debuts in fine style, displaying a few tips he must have picked up when playing alongside such as Weatherall and Saenderson at his Audiomonia night in Oslo. He himself calls it ‘deep techy psychedelic house rhythms with jackin’ rhythms and funky basslines’ which is a fair enough description of these three ostensibly minimal outings, starting deep and percolating on ‘If I Just Had A Hat’ before the eerie ‘Losers’ and its unexpected drop to deep Reese chords. ‘Tungtvann’ goes deeper still, unearthing a mole – boner intact – at the foot of a perilous fjord.
