THE SOUND OF CLUB BRASIL EP 02
CLUB BRASIL

The first EP in this series from London’s Club Brasil did well this time last year on it’s release, and, to be honest, there’s really nothing better than some Latin influence to get you motivated as the weather gets colder and darker at this time of year.  Tomas Improta & Finn Peter’s sizzling “Jungle Kitten” opens side one, a lively fusion cut with some lithe vocals and great musicianship.  The classic and instantly recognisable “Cravo e Cranela” from Valeria Lobao is next, progressive music at it’s very best, such an uplifting song.  Two versions of “Vera Cruz” take care of side two – Marian Feo’s classically haunting vocal take, and Jesse Sadoc’s livelier instrumental, filled out with some fantastic brass work.  Dancefloor jazz for the massives – believe.
