Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots is set to unleash her official debut single and the buzz about it is massive, overground & underground. The original mix of “New In Town” is electro pop at it’s finest, with a hint of sleaze and a certain Paisley Park feel, as Little Boots works her sultry vocals into sexy verses, before bursting into big sing-a-long dance routine choruses with a feel good factor of 10 out of 10. “New In Town” comes with 5 on it remixes, but the one that stands head & shoulders above the rest, is the spooky old school electronic overhaul from The Golden Filter, as it builds over chunky drum machine 80’s funky disco rhythms, the layering synths bring Yellow Magic Orchestra and Kraftwerk to mind. The Golden Filter then work it into an epic hair raising spine tingler, that’s got a classic early Andrew Weatherall vibe about it. The spirit of proper Balearic is well and truly back. An inspiring breath of fresh air.
