20 years of hits has gotta account for something, and whilst many are returning to the ‘80s for inspiration, the original purveyors of electro-pop keep churning them out, and with some aplomb. The first single from Vince and Andy’s ‘Nightbirds’ LP (their first new album in almost 5 years) has an uncanny air of familiarity to it; think of a slowed down version of ‘Sometimes’ or ‘Blue Savannah’. There is a chunkier LMC club mix for the G.A.Y. market, that’s a touch too Euro-disco for my liking, but perfect within the confines of what it’s intended for.
