To be honest I’m not keen on Keane at all, but what we’ve got here is a couple of spot on transformations. CSS are up first, they work wonders with “The Lovers Are Losing”, creating funky slightly off kilter percussive rhythms, interspersed with back in the day cute key riffs, which give the vocals a whole different feel, resulting in a Talking Heads / Tom Tom Club vibe. Meanwhile Diplo tackles “Spiralling” turning it into a peaktime 4/4 big room bouncer, complete with rave influenced electronics and disco choruses. Honest.
