“9 – 5” is Lady Sovereign’s first release for Island & it looks like it’s going all the way to the top of the charts. In it’s original mix, “9 – 5” sees the cheeky chavster cutting her rhymes over extremely catchy rhythms & melodies, which come over like Basement Jaxx taking on certain ska influences. On the remix front Tony Senghore comes up with a winner in the form of his “Gosh Darn It! Dub”, adding house beats, pulsing synths & submarine bleeps going into overdrive, creating irresistible feel good chaos.
