NIRVANA
COME AS YOU ARE (THE DIRTY FUNKER REMIXES)
SPIRIT

After injecting life into Kurt’s ‘Lithium’, the master alchemist of bastard pop turns his (or maybe her) attention to yet another classic from the Seattle superstar’s locker – 1992’s ‘Come As You Are’. Little has changed in the Club Mix with a syncopated beat tightening up the strumming of Cobain and Krist Novoselic, with Dave Grohl’s drums now beating to a 4/4 rhythm. But the real fun starts on the Dub that allows the DF to use more imagination and less Nirvana, transforming the track into an electronica delight that rides an altogether starker backdrop for the odd lyrical drop. Cheeky DF indeed!
