First of all let’s get one thing clear, Van Hunt is not as his name suggests, a German porn star, in fact he’s an American soul sensation, that could quite easily tread on the toes of His Royal Highness’s purple stilettos. “Down Here In Hell (With You” has got a lot of genius influence, Al Green, Sly Stone & Curtis Mayfield all come to mind, but the overall feel is definitely Prince, having a slightly out there tender moment. Mac & Toolz supply the mix on the flip, having a little bit of a beef up, but keeping all the essential elements that make this a great song. Keep an eye on Van Hunt, he’s big news.
