Mirco Caruso ‘Sangoma’ (2DROP)

Swiss native Mirco Caruso has established himself as one of the finest artists of the globe when it comes to peaktime House grooves with a certain note of funk. There’s only a handful of guys who are able to deliver the goods like him, and that’s what makes his productions and cheeky edits (check his New Order and Fatboy Slim edits on SC) so special and sought after. Beside releasing for prominent imprints like Gruuv, Hive Audio or Stereo Productions the man has been busy building up his very own 2Drop Records label, which is now reaching its 20th release. ‘Sangoma’ is a track that carries on where his pervious offering ‘Kano’ left off-an irresistible summer prime time killer that just needs one thing-being dropped. What you get is a sweet oriental influenced vocal which is powered by solid, beefy beats, great percussion, latin-esque key programming and a bass to remember. On the flip, Enrico Caruso (brother?!) goes for a more stripped down, straight Tech House direction, which gives the track a whole different attitude.
