Randy Roberts & Richard Burton ‘Stairway To Heaven’ (QUANTIZE)

DJ Spen’s Quanitize Records label is not only putting out music each and every week, it also stands for pure quality in general with some exceptional, timeless releases thrown in between. Such a record is their new release by Randy Roberts and Richard Burton with a superb rendition of the Philadelphia classic “Stairway to Heaven”.
Their combined performances are a reflection of the classic sound of Philadelphia, a fact that is purely understood by House Music veteran DJ Spen who has of course a certain love for Disco as well.
Utilizing the talents of keyboardists Hozay Clowney and Gary Hudgins, guitar player Lloyd ‘Skip’ Dorsey, and Baltimore’s Mo’ Horns, Spen & Thommy Davis have meticulously re produced the song adding the modern elements needed to thrust this ballad into clubland.
The release contains the Original mix that sticks closely to the movement and re-structure of the 70’s classic, the Direct Drive Version which captures an alternative mix perspective in a rather good way and the John Morales M+M Remixes that adds the all important disco feel to this overall package. As a bonus you get the timless John Morales M&M Instrumental and a very useful Reprise from Spen & Thommy. This is how Soulful House should sound like!
