Rich Wakley is a UK producer with lots of great studio skills. Here he shows that off across the course of three brand new original tunes, one of which gets remixed by Sante Sansone into a much more energetic affair. As such it is yet another great EP from this long running label.
First of all Rich serves up Hoodlum, which is a meaty tech cut with scraping hits, big vocals and elastic synths all making you move your body. It’s high energy stuff that makes a big impact, Psycho Safari is more loose and funky, with slower drums swiping lower and plenty of tension in the drum fills will really get you off your ass and on the floor. Rock With This then piles on the pressure with tinny drums and rolling drums grinding away as they get coloured with wood block hits and more rave vocals. The remix is an all out assault on your sense with retro styles and big breaks all pumping the groove. As such this is a hard to ignore EP pack with real flavour.
