London based DJ & producer Sam Shelley is next up on ever reliable UK imprint Midnight Riot with the ultra funky ‘Groove It’, vocalised by GOUX, who I have never heard of to be honest, but has a really nice uplifting voice.
The Original is a very solid funker with a nice bass and a cool mellow vibe to it. Meanwhile Milano native Rocoe calls in the Body Heat Gang band and ‘dials L for love’ with a sensuous live sounding remix and chunky beats.
My personal pick however is delivered by label head honcho Yam Who? who completely flips the mix adding a big bottom end, funky guitar blended with large piano chords & strings that takes the track into more epic disco territory. Nice summer feel to it all over, that’s how Disco should sound like.
